Any Athlete endorsed by the APF to represent Australia at an FAI Category 1 event will be provided with the basic level of assistance: competition entry fee and uniform (see Sporting Code, section 5.2).
- Level 1: A percentage of APTAC funding (to be determined by PBF Committee)
- Level 2: A greater percentage of APTAC funding (determined by PBF Committee)
- Level 3 (for serious medal contenders): A greater percentage of APTAC funding which can also be used for return airfare & reasonable on-travel costs to competition (i.e. immigration visa/bus/ train/ferry fares/hotel transfers from nearest main airport direct to the competition site)
Performance Based Funding is to be utilised for training jumps and coaching* fees only (including coach travel expenses). *Coaching can apply to sports psychology, nutrition, biomechanics or other modalities that can assist athletes to reach their performance goals. Recipients of funding must evidence expenditure to the satisfaction of the PBF Committee.
Note: The PBF Committee is to determine the percentage of funding allocated to each level depending on the medal chances of any teams. For example, in a year when Australia produced a strong medal chance, more funding would be diverted to the team involved. In years with no strong medal chances, funds would be more evenly distributed.
The following performance indicators are based on performance at the qualifying Australian National Championships.

FOR ALL TEAM EVENTS
As an incentive for teams to stay together long-term and for Australia to retain competitors, funding for WPC participation in 2nd+ WPC will be considered at one level higher than was provided at the previous WPC, if:
- all the same team members compete at consecutive Australian Nationals and WPC
- the team qualifies to represent Australia at the 2nd+ WPC
- demonstrated improvement on their previous best performance(s) at Nationals or First Category event
- A videographer can be reasonably excluded from the larger team member components and a nominated alternate from Nationals can be included in the team selection.
-
FOR ALL EVENTS
To help extend the competitive life of our elite athletes who have already shown the ability to achieve Level 3 benchmarks by winning a medal, Level 3 funding will be offered for any team/ individual that wins a medal at the previous FAI Category 1 event, providing it is the exact same team and they qualify for the next consecutive FAI Category 1 event at the Nationals.
-
OVERALL
A team or individual qualifying for level 1, 2 or 3 funding may utilise a percentage of theirfunding determined by the PBF Committee for training in the lead up to the selection yearnationals. Those qualifying for Level 3 will be allocated funding prior to the selection yearnationals. Those qualifying for Level 1 and 2 must keep evidence of expenditure to claimmonies spent once their scores are determined at the selection nationals.

Coach Register
The Instructors and Coaches in the skydiving industry are integral components of this sport to maintain Australia's high safety standards and exceptional level of skydiving skill.
This list of instructors and coaches has been compiled so that APF members wishing to up skill themselves can easily identify who is available and what fees are applicable. The list also identifies B-Rel Buddy's and provides contact information so that novice jumpers can connect with the coach that best suits them. So, before you look overseas for a coach and before you start organising your event or coaching weekend, have a look at our great Australian coaches that are available for you!
This list of coaches (formerly tutors), has been compiled from the list of APF registered coaches as well as coaches well known for their skills and knowledge in their particular discipline. (Permission was sought prior to posting the contact details of these coaches, so please use the information for the powers of good!!)
The APF advises any person wishing to utilise the coaching services of any person found on these lists, to use due diligence when selecting a coach.
