APF Membership Options

How Do I Become an APF Member?

You automatically become a member when you complete an application for Student Membership prior to your first skydive.

There are other avenues to APF Membership, for example, if you have moved from overseas and have brought your qualifications with you.

Select one of the Membership Forms below or contact the APF Office to assist you with completing the correct forms.

There are several APF Membership options or classes to choose from.

These options and selected other forms are detailed in the APF Forms

Affiliation to the APF

Each individual member is affiliated to the APF through a member organisation (= club or centre). This is the organisation which gets your vote at Council in the Federation’s “electoral college” voting system. The Council then gets your vote at the Board, and also a commission on your membership fee.

At Drop Zone Locator is a list of current APF clubs and centres through which you may affiliate. If you wish to be affiliated through a club or centre other than the one printed on your renewal form, or if your renewal form does not show a club or centre name, please write in one of the names from the list below.

Any member may change their affiliation at any time by notifying the APF office in writing. Instructors should note that this affiliation is entirely separate from their registration under a Chief Instructor. An instructor may be registered under the Chief Instructor of one club or centre, but be affiliated to the APF through a different club or centre.

Tips on renewing your Membership

Think About Your Club Affiliation

Each member is affiliated to the Australian Parachute Federation through a member organisation (clubs and centres). The club/centre represents you at your local Parachute Council. You may choose to be affiliated through any current member organisation by indicating the organisation on your membership renewal form.

All clubs/centres are listed on the APF website.

Read Your Logbook

Let us know what sort of year you have had. We need to know how many jumps you made in order to issue a Sporting Licence. AAD and malfunction details help us with our safety evaluations. Please note that we cannot issue a Sporting Licence if you do not tell us how many jumps you made last year.
