Gem Hodges discusses the improvements coming to the APF Website to better serve member needs.
APF Strategic Plan
In 2023, the APF Board set the strategic plan for the organisation, to be delivered over the next few years. A major part of this was sections 4.3.1 and 4.3.2, focused on Digital and Streamlined Services.
The APF Team has been diligently working to deliver these services, thanks to the collaboration with our new IT Steering Committee and IT User Groups. Our renewed focus is on enhancing member engagement, improving training, and refining our feedback mechanisms. This approach ensures that we’re developing digital services that genuinely meet the needs and preferences of our members. We’re committed to continuously improving and tailoring our offerings based on valuable input and engagement from our community.

Student Portal
The Student Portal is your go-to spot for everything you need to get Certificate A and Certificate B. It’s packed with helpful resources and links to all the information you might be looking for. Plus, it has handy checkboxes so you can easily keep track of your progress towards Certificate A. Basically, it’s designed to make your journey to certification as smooth and straightforward as possible.
By giving students access to a login early in their training, we hope to get them started with the APF and all its resources right from the get-go. This way, they can dive into helpful materials and information between trips to the dropzone, which can really boost their learning experience. Getting familiar with these resources early on will give them a solid foundation and make their training smoother. Ultimately, we’re aiming to help them feel more confident and prepared as they move through their certification journey.
Member Dashboard
We've designed the Member Portal to put the most commonly used items right at your fingertips, making it quicker and easier for members to complete their tasks. Once you login, you will be redirected to the Member Dashboard automatically, where you can access common forms, view and edit your details, get up to date with new blog articles and more.
All other website features remain unchanged, so if you prefer, you can still use the familiar menu structure to access Forms, Publications, and other functionalities.
Jump Dashboard
We’re excited to introduce a new way for Group Members to interact with the website and manage their student operations. This updated portal is designed with your convenience in mind, featuring a streamlined layout that simplifies navigation. The new design brings the dashboard and member search tools together in one place, making it easier to access the information and functions you need.
Training has been offered to all Group Members and their staff on the new portal and functionality, and was launched on September 11th 2024.
External AI
The External AI is designed to answer questions about our Regulatory and Training publications. Questions can be asked and it will respond in real time, and you can also ask where to find information in each of the documents. Every member will have access to this new tool and be encouraged to make the most of it.
