What do I do Next?

Congratulations, you are one step closer to learning how to skydive. In all of these training methods that you have just researched on the previous pages, you probably know by now if you want to do an AFF, Static Line or Tandem.

In all these courses, parachute students are taught normal and emergency procedures for all aspects of the jump, climb to altitude, exit, opening, canopy control, and landing. You are also shown the equipment and will go over it so that you understand how it works. All Australian Parachute Federation (APF), student training centres utilise sport skydiving gear, no more heavy military surplus stuff; the gear you will use is modern, light and comfortable and, this is not the army - no more big para-boots or heavy motorcycle helmets, you can use your own trainers/sport shoes and the modern helmets fit well, look cool and feel comfortable.

All you need to do now, is find a drop zone! Find a drop zone (DZ) here

Once you have found a DZ, give them a call or, go out and visit them (the friendly staff would love to meet you and your family/friends), once you have made contact and have had all your questions answered – book your first skydive and, don’t forget your video!
