The festival for the World Parachuting Championships kicks off in Surfers Paradise from the 6th October, and you can get that feeling of flight too! Join in by having a go in the mobile wind tunnel, then, watch the Opening Ceremony at 3 o'clock, as over 40 Nations march up Cavill Ave and on to the beach. As the athletes take their seats to watch the amazing entertainment, you will be captivated by the parachute display and fireworks.
The real action begins on the 7th from 7 AM. Come out to the Runaway Sports Super Centre to watch parachutists land, pack parachutes and jump again. Watch them up high or right in front of you on the huge LED TV screens.
