Skydive and Become a World Skydiving Day Record Holder
Whether you're an experienced skydiver, have a few jumps under your belt, or skydiving is on your bucket list, Saturday 13 July is the perfect date to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft!
The skydiving associations of America, Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand have all come together and are thrilled to introduce the inaugural "World Skydiving Day"; a day to celebrate the incredible sport and community of skydiving, whilst also setting a new World Record for the most skydives completed in a day worldwide.
How To Take Part
Participants from all around the world will come together to set the new record, which will include tandem, student and licensed skydiver jumps. You can participate from any drop zone in Australia and all you need to do is jump on the day!
The Australian Parachute Federation will be submitting proof to the USPA of the total number of jumps made in Australia that day. So literally all you need to do is show up and jump, it's that easy!
If you would like a World Skydiving Day Record certificate to mark the achievement however, then you will need to upload proof of your skydive (e.g. a photo of your signed logbook or a tandem skydive certificate) and order your certificate here.
Where Can I Jump?
Find your nearest drop zone using the APF "Dropzone Locator" and lock in the date; Saturday 13 July 2024.
If you have a friend or family member who has never skydived before, give them a nudge and get them booked in! And if you would like to tandem skydive on this day, we recommend booking in advance as places will fill up fast.
“World Skydiving Day is a great opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate skydiving through a truly historic event. The day marks a significant milestone to recognise and promote our sport. It is not just about the adrenaline rush—it's a celebration of the sport's evolution, the technological advances and training practices that have reduced risk, and the spirit of adventure that skydiving fosters. It’s a day when experienced skydivers and first timers come together, share their experiences, and enjoy the camaraderie and joy that skydiving brings” - Stephen Porter, APF CEO
